day 3:bAoc:return of the heroes.
Yay, day 3, which was yesterday. =) It was relatively, if not entirely relaxing. Finally no more running around in the rain, mud and sweat anymore =) which was a great relief to me, due to my “i-think-i-injured-my-achilles-tendon” incident. The funny thing was that it didn’t hurt after the game, but one day after the game. So we just sat down and everything, watched the paegent, skits, performance in the talent-thingy and obviously the cheering competition. Honestly, as much as I did enjoyed myself, it was rather sad and slightly depressing that I don’t really have any close friends yet. I mean I feel so left out, like most of the time, I think my student buddies and coordinators were the ones who actually held conversations with me.. I hate being the loner one. And it was so obvious I was the loner one yesterday, I mean the other girls all crowded at the back, like not willing to sit in the front (this happens in St. Margs anyway) as a group. Obviously, I am not really part of the group… In St. Margs, this happened so many times, that I became like the default student to sit in the front so that the others will finally sit. So yesterday I was thinking “no big deal lah, sit in front again”. I was really happy and relieved that Pei Suan was sitting behind me.. I mean I have no idea if the other girls would actually want to sit behind me since they are not really close to me and I can’t seem to have a conversation with them. Well the mascots for Daredevil really came out nice =) true to the fact that he got blinded =) so I was really disappointed when Dare Devil didn’t win the best mascot prize. I mean he is all red, so what do you want us to do? Plus, our mascot pretended to be blind by waving to the wrong side… so isn’t it like we stick to the facts of this really not-very-known-hero-as-compared-to-Xmen/Superman/Teentitans/Spiderman hero? Well in the end, at least we won the prize for best banner design! Yay!!! Actually the other groups, except for Batman, didn’t have very nice drawings… their drawings were like too anime????? Anyways, it was sad to see that the orientation is over, but time to move on … I am so crazy about you, but the thing is I am losing my mind. You died like 9 centuries ago, and you were so brave and so strong despite your sufferings… Honestly it is really sad you died at 24 years old. …. but you were/are a true Crusader… I think people have to respect the fact that you defended your country till you died.
