Eagles of Death Metal

Because I’ve watched the Nike Take It To The Next Level advertisement so many times, now I can’t get the background music out of my head..so I utilised my googling prowess and found out more about the band. Who would’ve thought I’ll get addicted to a Death Metal song. The introductory drum beats are so infectious! The lyrics are okay..just dirty lyrics that one would listen to on a fun night out. Click here to listen to Don’t Speak (I Came To Make A Bang!) by Eagles of Death Metal. Apparently there are now theories stating that the first-person in the advertisement isn’t Robin van Persie, it’s supposed to be ‘you’, the viewer. Well, that makes NO SENSE to me and if it’s really the intention of Nike to do that, it sucks. The advertisement wouldn’t appeal to viewers who are neither fans of Arsenal nor Holland.
