The Singapore flag lasted only a few days. It got taken down by the housing department. >_ Watching Grand Canyon the Movie at Tusayan’s IMAX theatre. I haven’t had McDonald’s at all in the States so far. The best pizza on earth…from ‘We Make Pizzas’. The extremely extreme temperatures in the desert. Hot like crazy in the day and cold like crazy in the night. Being a server at two restaurants…that’s what the manager told me but so far I’ve been doing lunch shift (4 hours) at the Arizona Room only. I do miss the Bright Angel because I get way more money there doing the night shift (11 hours) but the AZ Room is way more relaxing..and the view is excellent. New work place - Arizona Room. It has an open kitchen concept. The best view of all the restaurants in the Grand Canyon. Not even the El Tovar can compare. Elks at the Rec Centre! I was afraid it might charge towards me anytime but it seems like they can’t be bothered. It looks like a soft toy from the photo doesn’t it. So unreal. Went to Tony’s house (AZ Room’s Kitchen Manager) after games of basketball and soccer. He’s a great Iranian cook!!! We had a Persian dinner and it’s supppper yummy. In the photo is Greg, an Ashton Kutcher lookalike (line cook at Bright Angel morning) and we are watching the second last finals of the NBA games. Tony actually plucked one of his white roses for me from his own garden. So nice of him! Tony is the guy in black. Great guy!! Dinner at the El Tovar after a REALLY BAD day at work. Some people are just so mean. Argh. Whatever. The dinner just makes her so insignificant. Our server, Scott, made the Daily Special 1 sound sooooo good that I ordered it without hesistation..and it’s HEAVENLY. BEST.PASTA.EVER. THE BEST FREAKING DESSERT YOU WILL EVER HAVE IN YOUR LIFE. This is the Vanilla Creme Brulee and when you bite into it, you get a mouthful of the yummiest egg tart ever along with a super crunchy layer of sugar crust. OWN PWN WIN. The flowers are all blooming in the Summer. The caucasians can really slam-dunk. It’s just amazing to watch them. A super weak goat that was loitering around outside the Arizona Room..even the Park Rangers didn’t dare to touch him becuase it was so fragile. Breakfast at the El Tovar on the day of our Vegas trip. THE BEST FREAKING BREAKFAST YOU WILL EVER EAT IN YOUR LIFE. This is the Quesadilla with meat, eggs, cheese, potatoes, etc, and it’s just WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW. THE BEST WAFFLE IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD. It’s so unbelievably good. The El Tovar’s lobby and gift shops. Desserts at the Bright Angel Dining Room. Looking at my old work place from a customer’s perspective. Super yucky alcoholic drinks.
