…ing (2003)
A weirdly titled movie that is definitely worth watching! It’s under the romance genre, but I don’t think it’s totally romance. The focus seems not to be largely on mushy romantic scenes (thanks goodness) This movie definitely have romantic scenes but not mushy ones, it’s heartwarming and tearjerking. Especially the fact that, there’s not only lovely dovey thingy in this movie, but also the relationship between a mother and daughter. But if you can’t stand slow-paced movie, don’t watch it. Though I think the movie runs very smooth in its own pace. ^^ Cast: Im Soo-Jung as Min-ah Kim Rae-Won as Young-jae Lee Mi-Sook as Mi-suk (Min-ah’s mother) Plot: The whole story is about this teenage girl, Min-ah, who has a deformed right hand and always in & out of the hospital to fight with her life-threatening disease. She is always with herself, making no friends in her new school. But she has a very close relationship with her widowed mother (who always bluff her *funny*). Her mother, Mi-suk, is eager to let her daughter fall in love (I supposed it’s because Min-ah doesn’t really have much time left) and experiences happiness. She wishes her daughter could only experience happinesses in the latter’s life before Min-ah left for her dead father. *sad* Somehow, when Min-ah is smoking at the windows, she met Young-jae (who is said to have a crush on her at the first sight. *but smoking? blehx* ), the new neighbor downstairs. Young-jae starts to attract attention from Min-ah *funny scenes*. But just when the funny and sweet couple is in love, everything seem to be short-lived when Min-ah finds out she doesn’t have much time left. Hmmmm… I didn’t cry much for this movie, but it’s sad. =( I love it though, the storyline; the photographs; the drawings; the actors & actresses etc. There are scenes that totally took my heart away! [beware of spoilers!] Like when Min-ah’s mother always bluff Min-ah into belief and bullies her. =))) Like when the mother & daughter is taking a photo with Min-ah’s new hp. Like when Min-ah was forced to give her number to Young-jae and he just wrote onto his floor which in the end need help from a close auntie of Min-ah to help to clean up. lol. love tt scene. ^^ Like when Young-jae holds Min-ah’s deformed hand tightly. *soo sweet* Like when Young-jae confesses to Min-ah and she just run away. Like the wall in Young-jae’s apartment that is full of Min-ah’s photos (he’s a photography student). Like the photo of Young-jae & Min-ah hands holding together in an exhibition. Like when Young-jae received the sketchbook full of Min-ah’s drawing abt Young-jae & her story after her death.*This scene is so super sad!!* … and more and more.
