Career: I wanted to be a Barbie doll, NASA astronaut, teacher, RSAF fighter pilot, lecturer, fashion designer, pianist, commercial pilot, violinist, orchestra french horn player, make-up artist, tai-tai, journalist, deejay, marketing personnel, artist, comics shop owner, military officer, lawyer..And now I don’t know what I want, or what I can be.
  4. Hobbies: Internet, reading, television, obsessing over things I love, day-dreaming. No, shopping is no longer a hobby because this is a very bad hobby I need to kick away.
  5. Friends: I have a lot of acquaintances and a few very good friends. Of course the latter matter more.
  6. Favourites: Food, money, traveling.
  7. Nature: I can be very PR to people I don’t like, or have no interest in knowing. I can be very very bitchy to people I hate. I will be very nice in return to people who are really kind. My personality swerves violently when I’m with different people.
40 Things in 2008 1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before? - Traveled to USA. Broke my spine. Worked as a server. 2. Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year? - I forgot the resolutions I made in January… 3. Did anyone close to you give birth? - No. 4. Did anyone close to you die? - No. 5. What countries did you visit? _ Glorious USA. Myanmar in December. 6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008? - More money. 7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory? - 29 June 2008. 8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? - Er…….. hahah it’s too embarrassing to say. I guess the next best thing would be visiting Grand Canyon since it’s one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. 9. What was your biggest failure? - My ridiculous dive in USA. 10. Did you suffer illness or injury? - Yes I broke my spine and lost 1cm of physical height, or maybe more. 11. What was the best thing you bought? - The air ticket to USA. 12. Whose behaviour merited celebration? - Everybody I love. 13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed? - Hmm. 14. Where did most of your money go? - Sadly, I don’t know. Okay..probably to the USA’s economy. I think I reduced George W. Bush’s federal deficit by at least 50%. 15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? - Grand Canyon. Las Vegas. 16. Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder/thinner or fatter/richer or poorer?: - Way happier, thinner, and as always, poor. 18. What do you wish you’d done more of? - Saving money. 19. What do you wish you’d done less of? - Shopping. 20. How will you be spending Christmas? - Hopefully in Singapore, if not in Myanmar. I’m pretty upset about the second option..but it’s something I’ll have to sacrifice. 21. Who did you spend the most time on the phone with? - My boyfriend. 22. Did you fall in love in 2008? - Yes. 23. How many one night stands in this last year? - None. 24. What was your favourite TV program in 2008? - Just one? Seriously? I have a whole list! Sex and the City, 30 Rock, Desperate Housewives, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Heroes, Ugly Betty yadayadayada 25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year? - No. 26. What was the best book(s) you read? - Blink by Malcom Gladwell. I didn’t read a lot this year, sadly. 27. What was your greatest musical discovery? - Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, WHAM!, Belinda Carlisle. I’m so retro, I KNOW. 28. What did you want and get? - Hahaha. 29. What did you want and not get? - Hahaha, this list can go on and on. 30. What were your favourite films of this year? - Thank You For Smoking, WALL-E 31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? - Met up with all my friends in the birthday week…am 22. 32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? - Not breaking my spine. I really cannot ask for anything else. I have had two great years in a row now, 2007 and 2008. 33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008? - Much more toned down. 34. What kept you sane? - Food. 35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most in 2008? - Jason Mraz. 36. What political issue stirred you the most? - USA’s presidential elections, and it’s actually not much of my business. 37. Who did you miss? - No one. 38. Who was the best new person you met? - This really wonderful guy who worked with me in the same restaurant back in Grand Canyon. Pity we worked in different shifts..but I got to meet him during shifts-swapping - which I considered as the highlight of my day. 39.
