POING

uncategorized

School’s here again. Amazing how three months passed by so quickly. But I think I made full use of my holidays. Which is good. I’ve been kept busy. But is also bad because I didn’t get enough time to stone. And we all know how important it is to stone. But school hasn’t been that bad lately. Doing some very interesting but intimidating modules. With lots of readings. Which I haven’t completed. Why? Because I’m watching ping pong on TV. STRESS CAN??? Like OMG! Undoubtedly Singapore is good to have gone this far in the finals, but China is like an aggressive bulldozer of sorts scoring one point after another and another and another… STOP CAN?? Ok…this is nation pride talking. It’s always exciting to root for your own country. And how can you not love Singapore? But while I’m feeling stressed, my mom gets more riled up watching the game. “Eeee takut tengok!” she says but yells like a mad sports fan. Haha. Yes, my mom is like so much cuter than your mom. And there goes the game. SILVER! Wooot! Yay team Singapore! (Yes Bing Hui, I am indeed trying to forget that little detail of the “Singaporeaness” of our athletes kay? Let me live in my bubble. Haha) So yes I’m happy and proud of my Singapore. Nation pride baybee *thumps chest twice* I don’t normally admit this but that dancing panda mascot is damn cute can?? Now shaddup. Anyyywaayyyss…back to school stuff. I find campus strangely alien to me now. Was walking around school the other day and hell I don’t recall seeing any of these faces. They’re all new. Spanking new people that l have no connection with. Things certainly change. Many people I know, especially those I came in with, have graduated. The seniors I knew, have graduated. The eye-candy that I had in my first years, have graduated. WHERE THE HECK ARE THEY?? They have always provided me with a sense of familiarity that made me like college. I still have arki, true, and I love arki, don’t get me wrong. Everything about it I like, especially the friends I’ve made. But your freshman year will always be that exciting buzz year. Kinda stuck with cement to your soul. I miss the milo van on the first week of term. I miss seeing my crushes in Central Library. I miss my crazy 151 bus drivers who drives insanely. I miss the ugly NUSSU diary (yeah now it’s prettier). I miss the congested Deck: Heaven Earth Hell. I miss all that, you know? Strange, what we miss and what we don’t. Some things strike us harder than others.
