sad.

champions league | liverpool | sports

I. Am. Very. Sad. I think I, along with many other Liverpool fans, all sat in front of the TV and cried. A couple of mistakes here and there..and couple of penalties that didn’t go our way..Skrtel’s injury was a blow…the JAR own goal…sigh. But I think Reina was brilliant during the first half. He made so many outstanding saves! Torres also managed to end Liverpool’s goal drought at Stamford Bridge. And BABEL THE SUPER-SUB!! I was totally devastated when Rafa took Torres off..but Babel delivered!!!!! Well done Lampard. That goal must have meant a lot for him. Drogba, you are sooo classy! Running all the way just to celebrate your goal in front of Rafa?? Fucking grow up! It’s not like his claims about you always diving aren’t valid..the whole world can see that! ARGH SO ANNOYED. IT’S OKAY. I’m proud that we came back so well, and how magnificent was the traveling Kop?? They totally out-sang the Chelsea fans! Too bad Terry, your instruction for Chelsea fans to give us hell didn’t work. All the fans knew how to do was to boo Liverpool instead of supporting their own team. Sad. Chelsea fans can never be the Kop. If it was at Anfield, the Kop would have been so busy cheering on Liverpool that they can’t be bothered booing Chelsea. I love how Torres pulled Terry’s ear HAHA that was class. Take that Terry - no matter how much you kick Torres he will always stand back up. And I love how Gerrard - Grant’s ‘favourite’ player - was in such a hurry to take the throw-in that he left Grant stumbling back into his seat. HAHAHAHA. Always be positive. Hahahahahaahahahahhaahaa. I was hopeful all the way till the last minute because you’ll never know what will happen with Liverpool. =\ Music: Backstreet Boys - Inconsolable When I look at Liverpool’s subs..it just struck me how poorly funded Rafa’s team is. Chelsea have superstars waiting on the bench while Rafa really..has no one in comparison. If Liverpool ever want to win anything Rafa will need to get more money. It’s not just Chelsea. Both Arsenal and Man Utd spend lavishly on players too. DIC, save us. RAOTL: So when I look back it’s been a great effort from a group of players that had no right to really be there when you consider the competition. Still, when you get there you want to win, so tonight I’m crushed. I think this is the only match to go into extra time this season. Round 1: Liverpool 1 (Kuyt) - 1 (John Arne Riise own goal) Chelsea Round 2: Liverpool 2 (Torres, Babel) - 3 (Drogba, Lampard [penalty]) Chelsea Chelsea win 4-3 on aggregate. Season 2007/08 has officially ended for Liverpool. What a nightmare of a season with all the boardroom drama and the inconsistent performance. Good things: Kuyt coming back to silence his critics (what’s with the selective sympathy?? Lampard lost his mom and he got tonnes of coverage + understanding from the fans, but Kuyt got shit when he lost his dad), Torres, Skrtel, Babel, the Torres+Gerrard striking partnership. Definitely more bad memories than good ones though. I was joking with my Arsenal friend about how we are both losers but at least he’s still no.3 at the BPL. =
