Scripts and Trials

3 Even as he walks along the road, the fool lacks sense and shows everyone how stupid he is. 4 If a ruler’s anger rises against you, do not leave your post; calmness can lay great errors to rest. 5 There is an evil I have seen under the sun, the sort of error that arises from a ruler: Ecclesiastes 10:3-5 (New International Version) There come days when everything falls into place. Everything to test you. To test the patience, to test the temperament. Than there are weeks that do the same. I’ve just gone through one of those. It is trying to work for ignorance. Its tough to keep a focused mine and craft a piece of work that is befitting of at least my own ability when at the end of the day it lingers in my mind that your work is scant appreciated. There are times perhaps where I just lose hope, lose any inkling of dignity that i might have threaded to my uniform. I decide and resign myself to laying back and doing nothing. Idling around, and returning rubbish for work. Over time I realise that it robs my soul, to think as such. It festers in my mind, it eats at my personality and ultimately it is a triumph over my will. If i have to serve this time, if I must absolutely play this game of almost black magic, than I shall play it such that I win. The holy book speaks the truth, and in its divine knowledge one can take comfort, for in a manner it seems like we are just acting out a part in an already determined script. For this reason, I chose the above, a script suited for this scene which I play.
