Skillet

Do you know what’s strange? Those antennae things that stick out of cars. I was on the bus to school today and I was watching cars. And I realise how strange it is that those long thin thingys just stick out of the car. They’re either at the front, by the right side of the car near the window, or they’re at the back, also on the right. Or even stranger they’re smack in the middle of either the front or back! They could be long and thin, with a rubber tip at the end. Or a stunted rubber thingy. I don’t know how to describe it exactly, but it looks strange. Here you expect a car to be sleek…streamlined…beautiful. And then you smack something alien on it, and it turns odd. Whoooaaa. No wonder car adverts don’t show the radio antennae. And you know what else is strange? The word ’skill’. I was listening to the radio on the way to school on the bus today, and there was the advert on upgrading skills. And the word ’skill’ is just so…strange. What does ’skill’ mean? What is the meaning of ’skilful’ which by the way, omits the second ‘L’. How strange is that?? And so close to the word ’skillet’ which means something else altogether! And and and…so close to the word ‘kill’ too! Skill. Kill. A skilled kill. A skilful killer kills skillets. My GOD! We live in a STRANGE STRANGE WORLD!!! :O
