suddenly im sympathising someone who existed.

I will blog about day 2 of my bAoc orientation later. A few weeks agom my parents and I watched the movie “Kindom of Heaven” on TV. And there is one character who really impacted me the most. Until now, I still think of this character. The character was King Baldwin IV, who was a leper. I did some research and guess what? There really existed such a king; sadly known as the leper king. In the movie, he wore a mask to conceal the damage that the disease did to his face. And he wore long robes,sleeves and all to cover his body because of the disease’ damage, well except for his hands sometimes. I think this fact is also recorded in actual real history. The fictionalised character of the King has a mysterious charisma. It’s like the audience are drawn to the fact that he is always wearing that mask, and has such a firm yet gentle and voice that spoke wisdom. People are naturally wondering who is the person speaking behind that mask. I really really wish I knew the person behind the mask too … The most touching part was when his sister said that he will be that beautiful brother she ever knew. Later she took up the courage to remove the mask after his death, and obviously decades of having suffered the disease, he didn’t had the same beautiful face… anymore..
