yay I got new running shoes!
Sorry about yesterday’s post where I replaced the words “me, my, mine and I ” with me all the way. Just felt really childish to do that hahaha. Anyways, today we had church as usual, then went for lunch with grandma. I honestly think that grandma feels really happy that we have lunch with or something. But she seems to be in a good mood, so I guess so =) as long as she is not yelling in an angry tone, then I am cool with that. We dropped Jonathan off, since he wanted to stay at home, while the three of us (my parents and me) went back to Orchard Road to do day 2 of shopping spree =) Afterall, it is the Great Singapore Sale right? When the word “SALE” appears, a special human instinct kicks in. For women, it kicks in even faster, for men.. maybe slightly slower, if not doesn’t even kicks in hahaha. Who doesn’t love a sale?? First off, we bought a new pair of RUNNING SHOES for me!! From Adidas =) You see, running is a big deal to me. I don’t run cause that is the only thing I can do alone, but because I love to run. Passion wins your heart. I simply am obsessed with running and training for longer distances and faster speeds. To me, running is like being freed, which was why I crashed and had a meltdown when the doctor said no more running for me. So just now, I went to try out my new running shoes =) it has more support compared to my current pair. That’s the problem when you run too often. Your shoes get worn out faster than average. Well, at least my heels don’t hurt anymore when I run uphill, so that’s the good thing. At least my archilles tendon isn’t going to be a high risk of being injured for now =) And this time, I managed to run at least 1.8km, which is great, as compared to yesterday’s 1.2km. The uphill and downhill of my condo makes my training must fruitful. Anyways, I am tired and just glad that I have showered and watching tv and blogging, despite the time being 12.40am now. Thank goodness for school holidays. I will crash if there was school tomorrow. As my body begins to ache again thanks to the ginormous amounts of lactic acid in me, I shall continue with our shopping spree. After buying the shoes (which I want to thank the 2 nice salesgirls in the Adidias branch of Wheelock Place for letting me run around the area to test the shoes before I bought them), we went off. Dad went to drink coffee at Starbucks again while reading his books/articles, while mum and I walked all the way from Wheelock Place to Robinsons. So really, we had a fun time walking hahaha. And we went to Marks and Spences again hahaha. We tried on a lot of clothes, which were greatly discounted. And when we finally made our payments, one of the pieces mum wanted to buy for herself went missing. Mum was totally upset, cause she took a long time finding that pair of shorts for her size, plus it was the last piece in her size.. Til now, mum thinks that she might have accidently left that pair of shorts in the changing room. Oh wells. I just hoped she won’t be so upset over it. I am sure that other branches would sell that shorts in her size. After shopping, we went home. Tired, but happy =) I think I am the happiest person these 2 days of retail therapy.
